How to Get Your Landing Page Live with a Real URL (Vercel for Beginners)
You built something. Now let the world see it. This is a plain-English walkthrough for getting a permanent, professional URL — no coding degree required.
Why Your Link-in-Bio Matters More Than You Think
If you're promoting anything on Instagram or TikTok — a free community, a supplement, a course — your bio link is the most valuable real estate you own on those platforms. It's the only clickable link most followers will ever see from you.
So what happens when that link goes to something that looks sloppy? Or worse — it goes to a platform URL that makes people feel like they're being redirected through three services before getting anywhere?
They leave. No click. No conversion. No result.
That's why I decided to build my own landing page and host it on a real domain with a real URL. And getting it live was honestly way easier than I expected — thanks to a platform called Vercel.
What Is Vercel?
Vercel is a free hosting platform used by millions of developers worldwide. But you don't need to be a developer to use it. Think of it like this: you create your page, and Vercel puts it on the internet with a real URL — permanently, for free.
Here's what makes Vercel perfect for affiliate marketers and content creators:

Step 1: Create Your Vercel Account
Go to vercel.com and sign up. You can use your Google account, GitHub account, or email. The whole process takes about 2 minutes.
You don't need a credit card. The free "Hobby" plan is more than enough for a landing page or link hub.
Step 2: Build Your Landing Page
For my own page (this one, at andemelthrive.com), I started with a simple structure:
- My name and a short tagline
- Key stats that build credibility
- 5 clear link buttons — each going somewhere specific
- A proof section (why people should trust what I'm sharing)
- One strong CTA at the bottom
The whole page is a single HTML file. No WordPress. No page builder. No monthly subscription. One file. Live on the internet. Forever.

Step 3: Get Your Vercel Access Token
To connect tools or deploy programmatically, you'll need an Access Token. Here's how:
- Log into vercel.com
- Click your profile picture → Settings
- In the left sidebar, click Tokens
- Click Create Token
- Name it anything (e.g. "my-site") and click Create
- Copy the token — it only shows once!
Step 4: Deploy Your Page
The simplest option is Vercel's Drag & Drop:
- Go to vercel.com/new
- Drag your folder (containing your index.html) directly onto the page
- Vercel gives you a live URL in under 30 seconds
Your URL will look like your-project-name.vercel.app
Step 5: Connect Your Custom Domain
If you've bought a domain (I use andemelthrive.com), this is where it gets really good. Inside your Vercel project:
- Go to your project → Settings → Domains
- Type in your domain and click Add
- Vercel gives you two DNS records to add at your registrar (Namecheap, GoDaddy, etc.)
- Add those records — it takes about 5–30 minutes to propagate
- Your custom domain is live!
What I Use My Landing Page For
My landing page at andemelthrive.com is the central hub for everything I share:
- 🔥 My primary affiliate link (Philip Johansen's free training via bit.ly/freedom-accelerator-pro)
- 📸 My Instagram follow link
- 🎵 My TikTok follow link
- 💬 A direct DM link for people who want to talk
Instead of cramming all of this into my Instagram bio, I have one clean link that leads to a page that does all the selling for me — 24/7, automatically.
